NSIDP Recurring Events
Joint Seminars in Neuroscience (JSN)
This neuroscience seminar series is held every Tuesday at noon in the Neuroscience Research Building Auditorium.
NSIDP interview weekends are held in January and February.
Project Brainstorm and Brain Awareness Week:
Project Brainstorm is a course that UCLA Neuroscience graduate students can TA, and it has events throughout the year. The biggest event is Brain Awareness Week, a national celebration of the brain that occurs in mid-March.
AWiSE STEM Day:
This outreach event to encourage girls to get involved in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics occurs every Spring quarter.
Neuroscience Poster Session
Every year in September, NSIDP faculty and students get together for research talks, career building discussions, and social time at the annual retreat.
Dynamics of Neural Microcircuits Symposium:
This full day symposium is held in early May every year.
Learning and Memory Symposium:
The Integrative Center for Learning and Memory (ICLM), the Brain Research Institute (BRI) and the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine host this day-long symposium every year in early June to showcase the best of learning and memory research.
